  1. What is the age limit?
    People of all ages can start their Brazilian Jiujitsu journey. From 4 years on to 50 years and above. Anyone can begin their Brazilian Jiujitsu journey.

  2. Do we need a dress for Jiujitsu training?
    Absolutely. We train Brazilian Jiujitsu with the Gi (Kimono). Practitioners will need a Gi for Gi Jiujitsu classes and Rash Guard and shorts for No Gi Jiujitsu sessions.

  3. I don’t have a Gi, can I still train?
    Of course. Until you get a Gi, you can train with us wearing whatever you are comfortable in.

  4. Is Brazilian Jiujitsu suitable for women?
    Brazilian Jiujitsu is a good choice for women’s self defence. The science of Jiujitsu uses leverage and technique over strength and physical ability.

  5. Do I need to have prior martial arts training and experience to learn BJJ?
    Having prior experience in Martial Arts and Combat Sports is a plus but not required. We will teach you Brazilian Jiujitsu from the basic level and build your Jiujitsu game from the ground up.

  6. Do you give grades to students?
    Yes. Our Brazilian Jiujitsu Black belt Professor will give grades and belt promotions to students who have fulfilled the training requirements and accomplishments for said promotion.

  7. Will I sustain injuries because of Brazilian Jiujitsu training?
    While injuries do happen on the mat while training and competing, they are very rare and can be avoided if the practitioners follow the safety measures as given by the Coach. It is a full contact combat sport, therefore we cannot rule out the possibility of injuries.

  8. Will I need any supplements or training gear for the class?
    Yes. Please bring your drinking water bottle with “Electrolyte water” and your “Mouth Guard”.

  9. Do I have to fight in tournaments?
    Brazilian Jiujitsu is a combat sport and we practice it as such in our training room. We train the way we fight and we fight the way we train. Yes, you can compete. We will help you with a gameplan and will corner you for your fights whenever possible. But the decision to compete/fight is up to the individual.

  10. How often should I train to make progress as a beginner?
    For beginners, we suggest a training plan of 12 classes a month. That’s 3 classes a week. Once the practitioner is comfortable training this many sessions, we can increase the number of sessions.
